The service has been launched across Asda’s supermarkets, superstores and Express convenience stores
Major supermarket Asda has revealed it will be launching a new service at over 300 of its stores which will allow shoppers to collect and return parcels while doing their weekly shop.
Asda has announced that it has partnered with delivery service Evri to offer ParcelShops across many of its stores and the new service allows customers to collect their parcels while shopping at the supermarket.
The retailer revealed it recently launched the service across 300 Asda locations, including at Express convenience stores, supermarkets and superstores.
While the service is currently only available in around a quarter of Asda stores, the retailers says it hopes to roll out the service to all 1,200 of its outlets by April next year.

Chris Hall, Vice President, Logistics at Asda, added: “One of the things that sets Asda apart is our unmatchable mix of services, so we’re delighted to be partnering with Evri to be able to launch a brand-new one just in time for the festive season.
“We know how much our customers value convenience, and this service gives them the flexibility to collect or return an Evri parcel whether they’re popping in for a pint of milk in one of our Express stores or doing their big shop in one of our larger stores.”
The announcement comes after Evri revealed a £50 million investment to double its network of ParcelShops, aiming for 25,000 locations by 2030.
Martijn de Lange, Chief Executive at Evri, said: “This landmark agreement with fellow Leeds-based Asda strengthens our commitment to creating a delivery network fit for the modern UK shopper, directly giving them choice, convenience and control.
“We are excited about the opportunities this new partnership will bring, helping to us further drive our ambition to expand our capabilities and deliver an even more comprehensive, cost-effective, and customer-focused service across the UK and beyond.”
The announcement also comes after supermarket competitors announced similar plans to introduce parcel lockers across stores earlier in the year.
Sainsbury’s previously announced it was partnering with Royal Mail to introduce parcel lockers across a number of its supermarkets. The supermarket initially rolled out the lockers across six of its stores in April, but suggested it would look to launch more in the future.
Likewise the Co-op also announced in June this year that it would be introducing Royal Mail Parcel lockers at six of its stores, with plans to eventually roll out the service in 100 of its outlets.
