Bad news for Celebrations fans as Mars confirms Advent calendars will not be returning this Christmas

As Advent calendars start to appear on supermarket shelves, shoppers might notice one of the most popular ones is missing.

This year Mars has announced that the much-loved Celebrations Advent calendar will not be returning.

The festive countdown has proven to be a big hit with fans over the last few years.

It features favourites such as Galaxy, Twix, Maltesers and Snickers – as well as Bounty, an offering that divides many chocolate fans.

Some fans were left bitterly disappointed last year when they discovered Bounty chocolates behind the first two doors of the Celebrations Advent calendar.

Thankfully, those itching to get their Celebrations fix can still get tubs and boxes of the popular Yuletide treats.

Mars also makes Galaxy and Malteser Advent calendars, both of which will be back on shelves again this year.

They’re available to buy at supermarkets such as Tesco, Morrisons, Iceland and Waitrose.

Elsewhere, Lidl has just announced a new melt-in-the-middle pudding range, exclusively on sale for Christmas.

Shoppers can get their hands on two offerings – one containing a silky Belgian chocolate centre and the other oozing with salted caramel.

The festive puds are on sale now, priced at £5.99 each.
