Janette Manrara has expressed her excitement as she made a joint announcement with her husband Aljaz Skorjanec. The Strictly Come Dancing stars are already planning for 2025 after another successful series of the popular dance show.
Aljaz returned to the ballroom for the 2024 season after a two-year break, partnering with former Love Island star Tasha, and they made it to the grand final. On Saturday night (December 14), Tasha and Aljaz tied at the top of the leaderboard alongside JB Gill and Lauren Oakley, after all four finalists, including Chris McCausland and Dianne Buswell and Sarah Hadland and Vito Coppola, performed three dances each.
However, their near-perfect score of 119 out of a possible 120 wasn’t enough to win, as comedian Chris and professional dancer Dianne received overwhelming public support and took home the Glitterball trophy. Meanwhile, Janette had a busy Strictly season as she returned as the co-host of the spin-off show It Takes Two.
The couple have since reunited with their one-year-old daughter Lyra Rose, and while they’re looking forward to spending quality family time, they’re also planning for the new year. Janette confirmed on Instagram where fans might be able to see them next.
She expressed her enthusiasm on social media, stating: “Who’s excited for next year? ! WE ARE! SO excited to announce that we’ll back be joining @donaheys Dancing with the Stars Weekends in 2025! These weekends are always so special – a chance to meet so many of you and dance together in the most magical atmosphere! Whether you’re a complete beginner or a dance lover, we promise it will be a weekend full of fun, laughter, and great memories.”, reports the Manchester Evening News.
“Come and join us on the dance floor – you don’t want to miss it! Make sure to book your place! Visit @donaheys for details on how to save your spot to join us! We can’t wait to meet you all! “.
Her post follows Janette Manrara’s touching update on Instagram, where she showed off a collection of heartwarming photos featuring her husband and his parents following a surprise visit from Slovenia for the show’s finale. Alongside these snapshots, Manrara couldn’t hide her pride: “I have no words to express how IMMENSELY proud I am of @aljazskorjanec this series.”
“What a comeback year! You worked incredibly hard, spent time away from home and our little family, pushed through missing Lyra as much as you did, and did it all with class and grace making your wife and daughter and yourself very proud. You were AMAZING last night and every single week. I am so very happy for you, as are your family, friends and team. Now…. Let’s go home and cuddle. I’ve missed you, and I love you.”
