Belfast institution Greens Pizza announces closure of location after 13 years

“We’ll continue to serve and deliver great pizzas from our restaurant on Lisburn Road”

A popular Belfast restaurant has closed one of its last remaining locations.

Greens Pizza has been an institution in the city’s food and drink scene since 1995, serving stone-baked pizzas, pasta dishes, salads and more.

The team at Greens took to social media over the weekend to announce they were handing their Ballyhackamore restaurant to new owners.

Having opened in the buzzing East Belfast area back in 2013, Greens thanked everyone who supported them and ensured that customers can still get their Greens pizza at their Lisburn Road unit.

The post on social media read: “After 13 great years at Ballyhackamore, the time has come to hand Greens over to new owners.

“We would like to thank all our loyal customers who’ve supported us over the years. We’ll continue to serve and deliver great pizzas from our restaurant on Lisburn Road.

“The new owners will take over the lease imminently and we wish them all the very best!”

No details have emerged on who the new owners of the restaurant site are or when we can expect to see the site reopen to the public.
