Beyoncé Tottenham Hotspur Stadium bag policy, security and banned items not allowed in

Beyoncé’s highly anticipated Renaissance World Tour is coming to London very soon, with the five shows kicking off on Monday, May 29. Lucky ticket holders will be heading over to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in North London to watch the star perform fan favourites after online queues for tickets surpassed one million back in February.

With a further three dates added to her London roster and around 62,000 fans arriving at the stadium each day, now is the time to read up on all the rules to make sure you don’t get turned away for bringing a bag that’s too big or an object that may be prohibited. Here are those all-important guidelines you’ll need to be conscious of on the day of the concert.

Tottenham Hotspur Stadium bag policy

There’s a pretty strict bag policy at the stadium, which means if yours doesn’t meet the guidelines, you simply won’t be let in. According to the Tottenham Hotspur website, personal bags must be A4 size or smaller (that’s 21cm in length and 30cm in height). You can also use clear carrier bags but these must be no bigger than 30cm long and 30cm high and you’re not allowed to put any personal bags that do not meet the criteria within these bags. Laptop sleeves are allowed, but they must be no larger than 37cm x 31cm.

If you require a larger bag for medical reasons, i.e. to carry medical equipment, you’ll need to make sure you request a medical exemption certificate by filling out a form on the website, which you can find here.

Tottenham Hotspur Stadium security policy

The tour kicked off in Sweden

Like at any other concert, your bag will be searched carefully and you’ll most likely have to walk through a scanner before you can enter the arena. There will also be CCTV systems in the premises, including the football stadium, for the purposes of public and staff safety.

CCTV is installed on the outside of the building too, for the purposes of monitoring building security. Body-worn cameras incorporating audio recording will be used by stadium security staff when necessary for operational purposes.

Once you’ve had your ticket scanned on entry, you will not be able to re-enter the stadium if you leave the premises. There will be turnstiles in the South Stand that allow fans to use the facilities in Park Lane Square freely.

All tickets are issued as e-tickets – either via a digital download link or a print-at-home ticket. You should download everything you need before you leave home.

The ticket office is at the northwestern corner of the stadium and will be available for any questions on the day only.

In seated seats, under 16s should be with adults over 18, and in the standing area, only over 14s are allowed. There are no facilities for storing pushchairs.

The curfew for the stadium and the general admissions bar is 10.30pm. The stadium closes at midnight. For Sunday, those timings are 30 minutes earlier. The bar is totally cashless.

Tottenham Hotspur Stadium searches

All permissible bags will be carefully searched before you’re allowed entry into the stadium. Your bags should not be carrying items in the list of ‘banned items’ below. This includes bottles of any kind, glass vessels, cans, flasks, food and liquids of any kind.

If you have medical equipment that cannot fit in an approved bag, you can apply for a medical exemption certificate. You an request that here.
