Body found in Langford Budville by search and rescue teams

Exmoor Search and Rescue were called out by Avon and Somerset Police just before midnight to help them in their search for a missing person East of Welllington.

Four teams searched the woods and fields on foot and found the body of man.

The family of a missing person has been made aware, Avon and Somerset Police have said.

There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.

A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police said: “The body of a man was found by Exmoor Search and Rescue near Langford Budville at about 1.10am on Monday (6 October) while they were supporting a police investigation.

“The family of a missing man have been made aware.

“There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances, and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”

In a Facebook post, Exmoor Search and Rescue said: “Our thoughts are with their family and friends.”
