Boris delivers Christmas greetings to Ruislip posties

BORIS Johnson visited Ruislip Delivery Office to wish staff a Merry Christmas and thank them for keeping communities connected during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Mr Johnson was shown around by Delivery Office Manager Mark Semke and was introduced to the postmen and women who have been delivering parcels and letters in his Uxbridge and South Ruislip constituency.

He spoke with Manisha Bakhai about the role Royal Mail plays in getting post to service personnel around the world.

He also met Paul Quinnell, one of several posties who lifted people’s spirits by wearing fancy dress on their delivery rounds and raised more than £10,000 for the NHS in the process.

Mr Semke said: “This Christmas, posties know that they will be delivering the Christmas cards and presents which loved ones would normally give in person and this year they sadly cannot.”
