Boss Training, based in Brighouse, has celebrated its 15 year anniversary amid local restrictions and national uncertainty.
However, as founder and managing director Andrew Murphy explains, the company is in great shape and looking forward to achieving another successful year.
“As with any business, we have had to overcome many challenges over the years, but probably none as unprecedented as this one,” said Mr Murphy referring to the coronavirus pandemic.
“We have had to adapt – all our training facilities are ‘Covid safe’ and many of our courses are now delivered virtually via Zoom and our extensive online training portfolio is continuing to grow in popularity.”
Opening in 2005, providing scaffolding training to local contractors in West Yorkshire, the firm is now nationally recognised, training more than 20,000 people annually, working with companies including Network Rail, Royal Mail and leading construction firms including Sir Robert McAlpine and Amey.
The company continued to grow over the years and in 2017 acquired Access Training Solutions, a West Midlands based training provider.
Boss now employs 10 full time admin and sales staff at its head office in Brighouse and over 50 instructors delivering a wide range of health and safety courses throughout the UK.
Another notable achievement of the last few years was becoming a major sponsor of FC Halifax Town.
“I’m really proud of what we have achieved over the last 15 years and as a lifelong Halifax Town fan I was delighted to get involved with the sponsorship,” said Mr Murphy
“Despite all the challenges, we’ve had a good year and we have plenty of exciting plans in the pipeline for 2021 and beyond.”
