Brymbo councillor welcomes new post box to street

A BRYMBO councillor has welcomed an additional post box in the community.

Councillor Paul Rogers spoke of his delight about the installation of a new post box has been installed next to the play area at Lamberton Drive following requests from residents.

Lamberton Drive is located on the housing development on the former Steelworks site.

The Royal Mail had placed a post box on Shepherd Street several years ago, however residents on the upper part of the site said it meant quite a walk or that they had to get into their car to access it.

Councillor Paul Rogers, who has been supporting residents on the issue, welcomed the installation and thanked Royal Mail for their support.

He said: “I would like to thank Royal Mail for installing an additional post box at Lamberton Drive. It is only right that with large housing developments that there is access to such services and I am grateful that they have listened to local residents.

“I am sure the post box will be very handy for residents as we approach the festive period.”
