BT halts EV chargepoint scheme after only one of 60,000 installed

The single charger installed was placed in an outdated green street cabinet in East Lothian, Scotland, for use by local residents, who were able to charge their EVs for free until May 31 as part of a pilot scheme.
BT has now scrapped the scheme, suggesting instead that it intends to focus on the Wi-Fi connectivity challenge surrounding EV’s.
