C2C rail and DLR works to cause heavy disruption across East London

Rail works being carried out during several weekends in April and May are set to cause heavy disruption for passengers. Engineers will shut sections of rail and DLR track between Fenchurch Street and West Ham in a bid to improve the reliability of train services.

This will include overhead line work, track maintenance and bridge repairs, along with platforms at Limehouse station being refurbished. Thames Water engineers will also use the closure for maintenance on sewers near West Ham.

Closures will take place on the three consecutive weekends of April 4-5, April 11-12 and April 18-19, followed by two more closures on May 9-10 and May 16-17.
