At its recent Capital Markets Day presentation new Capita CEO Adolfo Hernandez outlined a number of key focus areas for the businesses going forward (see *UKHotViewsExtra* Capita’s big new plan). One aspect of this will see the Capita Experience division focus down on Contact Centre solutions and its pensions business.

Capita announced this morning that it has renewed its contract with the Cabinet Office to administer the Royal Mail Statutory Pension Scheme (RMSPS) for another six years from 2026, with an option to extend for a further two years. The scheme currently has over 350,000 members who are to be migrated over to a single platform built on Microsoft Dynamics that will then be integrated into Capita’s Hartlink solution.

Capita has administered the RMSPS since 2017, delivering services including finance, accounting and taxation administration, pension payroll and reporting, as well as data analysis and management. The renewal is worth £48m over eight years and lands at a good time for the roll out of the new strategy.

Adolfo Hernandez, Capita CEO, commented: “This renewed contract reflects not only our long-standing and established strategic partnership with the Cabinet Office, but also the quality of the service we provide to members. We are exceptionally proud to continue to deliver this vital work.”
