Car bursts into flames in Bedminster as fire crews rush to scene

A car burst into flames in Bedminster this morning (December 24). A picture shows the vehicle engulfed in fire while smoke billows in the air above.

Fire crews deployed one hose jet and breathing apparatus to extinguish the blaze. The cause of the fire is reported to be ‘accidental ignition’.

Bedminster Fire Station said: “Car fire in #Bedminster this morning. 1 jet, 1 breathing apparatus, 1 disappointed car owner, accidental ignition.”

Elsewhere in Bristol, fire crews rushed to a ‘large’ fire in Kingswood at around 6am today. The blaze is believed to have broken out near Moravian Road and the emergency services remain at the scene.
