Officers and staff banded together to make sure the little lad would have presents to open
Solihull Police made Christmas come early with an act of kindness and generosity.
Officers responded to concerns about the welfare of a five-year-old boy, who days away from turning six.
The boy was safeguarded – but there were concerns he wouldn’t have any presents to open due to the circumstances.

With a birthday and Christmas days away, officers and staff banded together to make sure he wouldn’t go without any presents.
Insp Anna Korzun arranged a collection to buy some presents for him and thanked her ‘wonderful’ colleagues.
‘Overwhelmed’ by the generosity of officers and staff, she was ‘delighted’ to hand presents to the young boy.
She said: “I was overwhelmed by the generosity of officers and staff at Solihull – what a great group of people to work with. I was delighted to be able to take him some birthday presents, and to have presents for Christmas is wonderful.
“To see him safe and being looked after really warmed my heart, and I am pleased he will have gifts to open on Christmas – which wouldn’t have been possible without the wonderful people I work with.”
