The little Loma Mar post office is among those that might be closed as the postal service works to narrow a budget gap that has soared to billions of dollars. But Loma Martians are not convinced that postal authorities actually understand all the 80-year-old branch means to those who rely not only on its service, but on the way it’s forged friendships for decades.
