Letter carriers bags were a little heavy on their return trip to the Dayton Post Office on May 14. That’s the day they joined their counterparts across the country to ‘Stamp Out Hunger!’ -in what was billed as the largest single-day food drive in the nation. More: continued here

Monroe police evacuated the main post office on Sterlington Road, after a report of a suspicious package.  Police were called by employees who reported a ticking sound coming from a package.  The package was then X-rayed, that’s when a cell phone was discovered inside.   More: continued here
