MEMBERS of Cefn Mawr historical society greatly enjoyed a talk from David Waller on ‘Royal Mail routes through North East Wales’.
The next meeting is to be held at 7pm on Friday, June 28 in the George Edwards Hall, Well Street, Cefn Mawr, when Gwyndaf Owen will speak about ‘Past and present healthcare in the Wrexham area’.
Admission is free to Members and £2 to non-members and guests on the door. Refreshments will be available, and a grand raffle will be drawn on the evening.

Cefn Mawr and District Museum’s special exhibition continues on the theme of ‘The Shops of Cefn Mawr’, and will last until the end of August.
In addition, a new exhibition has begun on the theme of ‘The Seed Factory in Llangollen’.

‘Museum in a Box’ visits to various groups and communities across the area are continuing — the most recent was a very enjoyable session at Maes y Dderwen Care Home in Wrexham.
It is hoped the next visit will be to visit the Chirk Memory Clinic.
Schools and other community groups are welcome to come and visit the museum.
It is open every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10am to 12.30pm.
The second Saturday of the month openings, at the same times, take place between March and November.
It is based in the Waterloo Room at the rear of the George Edwards Hall and admission is free.
