Planning applications received by Mendip District Council last week include:

  • Tree works in a Conservation Area at 32 High Street, Butleigh.
  • Tree works at Myrtle Lodge, Wells Road, Glastonbury.
  • New agricultural building (retrospective) for housing fodder and machinery at Home Farm, Chapel Lane, Meare.

Planning applications decided by Mendip District Council last week include:

  • Tree works at 3 Magdalene Street, Glastonbury. TPO not required (no objection).
  • Replacement of existing lean-to extension and new porch. (amendments to 2020/0615/LBC) at Home Farm, 3 Stileway, Meare. Approval with conditions.
  • Proposed garage conversion and one additional parking space at 5 Higher Actis, Glastonbury. Approval with conditions.
  • Tree works at Tor Side, Coursing Batch, Glastonbury. TPO not required (no objection).
  • Tree works at Hadley Cottage, Water Lane, Butleigh. TPO not required (no objection).
  • Change of use from residential to commercial shop/office at 38 Magdalene Street, Glastonbury. Withdrawn.
  • Two dwellings with associated access, parking and gardens at land adjacent to 1-3 High Street, Street. Refusal.

Planning applications received by Sedgemoor District Council last week include:

  • Extension and alterations to existing detached dwelling, including new hardstanding, and erection of outbuilding at 29 Ashcott Road, Meare.
  • Outline planning permission with all matters reserved for new dwelling at 29, Pedwell Hill, Ashcott.

Planning applications decided by Sedgemoor District Council last week include:

  • Single-storey extension to rear (north) elevation, two-storey extension to side (east) elevation and porch to front (south) elevation at 11 Bath Road, Ashcott. Granted permission.
  • Change of use from residential (C3) to school (D1) with associated works for access and parking at 7 Bath Road, Ashcott. Granted permission.
  • Notice of intent to remove existing box and install a new Royal Mail post box at Bath Road, Ashcott. Permitted development.
  • Remove existing roofing roof tiles, remove old plastic underlay and overhaul the timber roofing structure, refix new breather membrane and relay existing tiles, renew existing leadwork, remove existing concrete render to the external walls, repair walls as necessary, recover walls in three-coat lime-based render or similar at 71 Broadway, Chilton Polden. Granted permission.
