With less then a fortnight until Christmas Day, shoppers are pencilling in postage cut-off dates on their calendars to ensure their presents arrive on time. To help navigate the festive frenzy, courier comparison service Parcel2Go has put together a useful list of cut-off dates for major delivery companies.
Of course, opting for slower delivery services is a savvy way to save a few quid on postage. For those who are ahead of the game, the deadlines for sending within the UK are Monday, December 15, for Yodel’s 3+ day delivery and Friday, December 19, for Evri’s 3+ day delivery.
A number of two-day services from the likes of FedEx, Parcelforce, and Evri will get there on time if posted by close of play on December 19, but parcels and letters must be sent off before 11am for Royal Mail’s 48 Tracked service. For those leaving it down to the wire, UPS, DHL, Parcelforce, and Royal Mail all offer next-day UK delivery with a December 22 cut-off date to make sure it arrives in time for Christmas.
As for packages heading overseas, the latest deadline for sending to Europe or further afield is December 20 with Parcelforce Worldwide Express 48. On the topic of international shipping, Parcel2Go is also offering a 10% discount on delivery to the USA, Canada, and Australia with the code GLOBAL10OFF.
Parcel2Go makes it easy to compare courier services and could provide extra savings with its exclusive online rates that aren’t available in-store. To make things even easier, it also provides several doorstep collection options, eliminating the need to queue, reports Nottinghamshire Live.
Shoppers can post their presents from their doorstep with Parcel2Go
Alternatively, customers could head straight to Royal Mail for their postage needs, where its Tracked 24 service starts from £3.65 and Tracked 48 from £2.75. Both services cater for parcels up to 20kg.
Alternatively, Evri’s Next Day service charges £4 for parcels less than 1kg, rising to £11.99 for those between 10kg and 15kg. Courier collection is also an option on Evri’s standard services, costing roughly £1 more than Parcelshop or Locker drop-offs.
However, instead of trying to figure out which courier offers the best value and quickest delivery, shoppers can use Parcel2Go’s aggregator to select the best mix of price, speed, and tracking. As for what shoppers think of Parcel2Go, the service has bagged a ‘great’ 4.1-star rating on Trustpilot from nearly 173,000 reviews.
