Cinderford Post Office is set to be temporarily closed to allow for major building work to take place. It will be closed from 5.30pm on Thursday, June 9, and the work is expected to take just over three months.
The branch at Dockham Road is expected to reopen at 9am on Thursday, September 15. Customers are advised to visit the Littledean Post Office, in Cinderford, and the Newnham Post Office, in Newnham, during the closure.
Daniel Rooney, Post Office Partner Account Manager, said: “We apologise for any inconvenience caused to our customers during the work. The safety of our customers is of paramount, therefore, to allow for the refurbishment work to take place, it will be necessary for the service to close temporarily.”

Both alternative branches offer the same range of services as the Cinderford Post Office. However, neither Littledean nor Newnham offer a comprehensive range of travel money, passport checks, or a ‘send and on demand travel insurance’.
