A city centre road was closed this afternoon, March 22, following a crash. Kent Street, near Birmingham’s Gay Village, was shut following the smash.
Southside District BID, responsble for supporting businesses in the area, warned drivers to avoid the street. The BID posted an image at 4pm of the crashed Vauxhall Corsa on pavement with tape around it.
Debris from the vehicle was pictured scattered on the floor. The Vaxuhall’s bonnet appeared to be badly damaged.

The exact nature of how the crash happened was not made clear. Southside District Birmingham wrote on social media platform X: “Kent Street is currently closed due to road traffic accident.
“It will be opened as soon as possible. Please avoid the area if you can.”
