Colder temperatures and frost predicted for Wiltshire

Rain will persist into Friday morning.

On Friday morning, temperatures will slightly decrease to around 6C.

As the morning unfolds, temperatures will continue to drop, with an increased possibility of snow over higher grounds, especially during the evening.

The wind speed will hover between 7mph and a maximum of 17mph, providing light to moderate breezes throughout the day.

The maximum temperature on Friday is expected to be at around 10C.

As the night progresses, temperatures will fall to around 0C, increasing the likelihood of frost.

Saturday is set to bring drier conditions, with the harsh temperatures easing slightly by afternoon.

Expect a frosty start with temperatures struggling to rise above 2C until noon when it should start to feel milder, peaking at 7C later in the day.

The wind will be easing, reaching a maximum of 13mph, and the day should remain generally rain-free, save for the odd isolated shower.

More rain and the possibility of snow over high grounds are forecast to return on Sunday.

However, the temperature will decrease notably in the afternoon, and an overnight frost is expected.

On Monday, sunny spells interspersed with showers are expected making temperatures swing between 5C and 8C.

The current weather predictions will likely bring disrupted weather patterns to Wiltshire for the coming four to five days, so residents are advised to brace themselves accordingly.

The local environment, especially in elevated areas, might witness some snow due to the dip in temperatures later on Friday and subsequent rainfalls.
