Consumer memos: United Airlines partners with FedEx for overnight luggage delivery (The Kansas City Star)

United Airlines is teaming with FedEx Corp. to ship passengers’ bags overnight, as the second-biggest U.S. carrier seeks more revenue from sources other than ticket sales. The Door-to-Door Baggage service is available to passengers on United flights in the 48 contiguous U.S. states. The service costs $149 a bag each way for flights of less than 1,000 miles and $179 on longer routes, United said.
