A contentious group residing in Scottish woodland has been removed by the council. Following notification last Friday, the Kingdom of Kubala were informed they must clear their encampment and depart by 5 pm today (8 September) or face court proceedings.
Despite earlier declarations that they would not acknowledge any formal eviction order, the trio have relocated from the Jedburgh forests, where they had been residing since May. In footage shared on social media, Queen Nandi, whose real identity is Jean Gasho, declared: “We are pilgrims. Kubala Kubala.”
The clip, accompanied by Only Time by Enya, shows handmaiden Asnat — 21-year-old Kaura Taylor, a reportedly missing woman from Texas—transporting hefty bags containing the group’s belongings as they depart the woodland.
The Kingdom of Kubala arrived with the declared purpose of reclaiming territory they allege was seized from their forebears in the Highlands 400 years ago, and maintain they will persist with their journey northward.
Jean continued: “I love this kingdom.
“This is Kubala at its finest. We move, we smile – the pilgrims of Kubala.”
Jean then addresses her spouse, King Atehene – whose actual name is Kofi Offeh – expressing her affection for him, before the footage concludes.
