Coronation Street legend Geoffrey Hinsliff has died at the age of 87

Coronation Street legend Geoffrey Hinsliff has died at the age of 87, the ITV soap has confirmed. Geoffrey Hinsliff was a British actor best known for his role as Don Brennan in the popular British soap opera Coronation Street.

He appeared in the show from 1987 to 1997. Don Brennan was a complex character, known for his troubled relationships and dramatic storylines, including his financial struggles and eventual mental breakdown, which led to a tragic car crash.

Outside of Coronation Street, Hinsliff had a long and varied career in British television and film. He appeared in other TV shows such as The Professionals, Heartbeat, Emmerdale, and Z-Cars. He also made appearances in stage productions and smaller roles in films.

Hinsliff trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) and had a solid reputation for playing a variety of roles, both dramatic and comedic, in British television.
