Gardening Australia host Costa Georgiadis accessorises his trademark beard with flowers and feathers at the Brisbane Royal Exhibition show

He the celebrity gardener, who recently won a Logie for Most Popular Presenter.

And on Wednesday, Costa Georgiadis definitely made a statement at the Brisbane  Royal Exhibition show while accessorising his trademark unkempt beard with blooms.

The 55-year-old appeared to be in high spirits as he wore a unique floral headpiece while posing with the ‘decorated beard winners’ at the event.

The Gardening Australia host also wore brown pants and kept to the garden theme with a  ‘fly’ printed t-shirt. 

The eccentric media personality lived up to his title as a gardener as he accessorised his beard with a range of yellow and orange coloured flowers. 

He also wore a floral halo which featured a large feathered statement piece in the centre.

Costa was pictured alongside the winners of the decorated beard competition, Dan Davidson and Dave Hollywood. 

The pair’s excessive collection of garden plants and flowers combined definitely impressed the judges. 

Meanwhile, Costa scooped the awards for Most Popular Presenter and Most Popular Personality on Australian Television, at the Logie Awards in July.

When accepting his Logie, Costa summed up his experience as unbelievable saying: ‘To all the team have backed me from day one …thank you to all of the executives at the ABC for backing a half-man, half-hedge.’

‘This Logie is going to travel the country, it’s not collecting dust,’ he continued. 

‘I want it sitting on compost bins, I want it in community gardens, I want it going everywhere,’ Costa said.
