Post-person role with the Royal Mail

A role is on offer at the Royal Mail’s Hartlepool Delivery Office, contracted for 25 hours a week.

The shifts available are between 12-7pm Wednesday through to Sunday, with an hourly rate of £10.85 for those aged 18+.

The job includes sorting the mail for your route before heading out and spending several hours delivering it outdoors.

Royal Mail say they are looking for someone ‘upbeat’ with a ‘good level of fitness’ and a ‘love for the outdoors’.

Clerical Officer at Hartlepool Hospital

There’s a part-time NHS role up for grabs based within the Administration Hub at the University Hospital of Hartlepool.

It involves responding to enquiries made to the trust via letter, face to face contact or telephone, and passing them on to the relevant department.

The salary is £18,546 – £19,918 a year, and they are looking for someone who can deal with queries in an ‘efficient and professional’ manner.

Social work programme with Frontline

Frontline is looking for people in Hartlepool to start a two-year, salaried social work training programme.

Those involved will qualify as a social worker and complete a full-funded master’s degree.

It offers the opportunity to work directly with children and families, and make a positive change in their lives.

To be eligible, applicants must have a 2:1 (predicted or obtained) or higher in an undergraduate honours degree (or equivalent) OR a 2.2 in an undergraduate honours degree (or equivalent) as well as a level 7 (i.e. Master’s degree) qualification.

And at least grade C in English Language and Maths at GCSE level.

Poolside Assistant at Puddle Ducks

The swimming class company is looking for someone ‘fun, friendly and outgoing’ to become a poolside assistant.

The role involves assisting the teacher at classes and overseeing the use of equipment.

You must be able to drive and have access to your own car as the classes run across the Tees Valley.

Weekly shifts will include Friday AM & PM.

Assistant Manager at The 9 Anchors, Seaton Carew

This Seaton Carew bar is looking for someone with bartender experience to enter the role as Assistant Manager.

They’ve said management experience is not essential, and the successful application will be given the chance to develop their skills and learn on the job.

The role may include stock control, rotas, line cleaning, and pays national minimum wage.

Team Leader at Costa

The coffee shop chain are looking for a ‘passionate and experienced’ team leader at Anchor Retail Park on Marina Way.

The job advertised involves ‘coaching and supporting the team’, ‘ensuring all procedures are followed’ and ‘taking the lead on shift’.

It will also entail training up new baristas.

Pay starts at £9.89 – 10.89 per hour and increases with greater training.

Dental Receptionist at Elliot McCarthy Dental Care

This predominately private practice in Hartlepool is looking for a full-time dental receptionist.

They want someone who is able to work 40 hours per week, with proven front of house experience ideally within a healthcare setting.

Match Day Safety Steward for Hartlepool FC

Training company Orangebox have partnerned with HUFC to seek ‘hard working’ individuals to join their stewarding team for match-day events.

The role involves assisting with safe operation at the stadium, monitoring the crowd, and assisting any spectators in need.

Both full-time and part time roles are on offer, with pay starting at £12 an hour.

Shifts will last 8 hours, and week-end availability is preferred.

Crime Scene Investigator for Cleveland Force

For those willing to travel around Teesside, an exciting opportunity has arisen in the Cleveland Force CSI unit.

CSI roles rarely become available, and so this one, based at North Ormesby Police Station may be of interest to anyone with a background in the investigative services.

It’s a permanent contract of 37 hours per week, with a salary of between £23,817 – £28,725 a year.

In the role you can expect to attend a wide range of crime and other incident scenes, ranging for burglaries to major incidents such as murders and sexual offences.

Applicants should be aware that this role may involve work that could be described as severely distressing including attendance at Post Mortem examinations.

Candidates should have successfully completed an appropriate crime scene examination course, such as a degree in Crime Scene Investigation (or relevant subject) or a recognised policing qualification in the subject area.
