Couriers strike against the Royal Mail run firm eCourier

Couriers, employed by the Royal Mail run firm eCourier have walked out in a row over employment rights.

Members of the independent workers union of Great Britain are staging a two day gig economy strike – demanding the London living wage and better working conditions.

The demonstration, which is having an impact on deliveries to hospitals and businesses, comes as a trade union activist says he was sacked for supporting the strike.

We have contacted eCourier for a response on the issues raised and they have yet to get back to us.
