Crowdfunding to Support Angels Utd on JustGiving

On the 1st Nov 2017, I woke up so excited about the day ahead yet not knowing about how the day would end. It was the day of the 12 week scan of my first child. Me and my wife attended The Royal Oldham Hospital for an appointment at around 1400. After being kept waiting, my wife was called in for the scan, I paced around waiting to go in. I was called in and at 1435 they got a clear image of my son. They also got an image of another baby, but this one was tiny. They took measurements and said that the baby died around 5 weeks earlier (at around 7 weeks). Straight away, I took my wife’s hand and squeezed it. As much as I wanted to get upset, I knew I had to be strong for her.
This is my story. There are millions of people who have a similar story if not worse! This is why I have decided to raise as much money as possible for Angels United by competing in my first triathlon (Novice) on 22nd September, running a half marathon on 27th October and 17th November and finally walking the around of Isle of Man at the end of February/beginning of march 2025. The distance is around 98 miles and my aim is to do it In around 3/4 days
Angels United was formed in 2020 by 13 dads is aimed at supporting families who have lost a baby or child at any age or stage of pregnancy. They want all people from different backgrounds, cultures, religions to feel that they can approach them with confidence when they are looking for that something positive in a time of darkness. 

Finally, all this couldn’t be possible without Man V Fat Rochdale. I started at Man V Fat in September 2022 and weighed 130.8kg. Since then so have lost around 30kg. Which is almost 25% of my original body weight. Man v Fat is a weight loss community where men of all ages, all ability come together to lose weight whilst playing football. Aswel as a weight loss group, Man V Fat has helped my mental health which is something I have struggled with over the last couple of years.
