Darts round-up from the Holbeach and Pinchbeck District Leagues

The Anchor B were the winners of the Holbeach and District League’s Maurice Clark Threes Cup on Friday night.

Their trio of Nick Lee, Jayden Lee and Archie Girdlestone were 2-1 winners in the final against the Greyhound B side which featured Luke Emmins, John Cooper and Lee Lakey.

Thirty-two teams had entered the competition at the Tigers Bar and Social Club with eventual winners Anchor beating Rose & Crown A in the quarter-finals.

The Anchor B were the winners of the Holbeach and District League’s Maurice Clark Threes Cup.

Greyhound B were victorious over Tigers A, Parkside A got the Royal British Legion while Tigers B triumphed against Anchor A.

Anchor B then defeated Tigers B in the last four with Greyhound winning their semi-final showdown against Parkside A.

The final produced a series of high scores with Nick Lee hitting two 100s and a 121 while Jayden Lee also recorded a brace of tons and a 140.

Luke Emmins had a 180 maximum plus a 140 and 100 while John Cooper also chipped in with scores of 140 and 100.

With the Crowson Volkswagen Pinchbeck and District Darts League reaching its halfway stage this week, Division A leaders Consti Club C extended their advantage with an emphatic 8–1 away win at the Drayman’s Arms.

The hosts’ only success came in the pairs where Connor and Steina McKenna beat Harry Faulkner and Jacob Herd 2–1.

Jimmy Robinson impressed for the Consti with a 120 checkout.

The game of the night came at the Royal Mail Cart as they hosted Lincoln Arms A.

Lincoln led 2–1 after the pairs, but wins for Chris Fidler (including a 180 and a 17 dart leg) and Jason Vines swung the match in favour of the Mail Cart.

Lincoln hit back through Dean Murray and Steve Stancer before Jack Chilvers levelled the match at 4–4 with a 2–1 win over Karl Rolfe.

The decider went to the wire with Steve Gaughan holding his nerve to hit the winning double and seal a narrow 5–4 victory for the Lincoln.

There were further highlights as Ash Allen fired in a 180 and a 16 dart leg in his singles defeat to Stancer who also produced a 118 checkout in an 18 dart pairs leg with Si Hill.

Services Club B earned a much needed 6–3 home win over the Black Bull.

With the match poised at 3–3, victories for Ady Smith, Tony Clark and Andy Mason secured the points.

The Bull’s Rick Clay and Karl Louth recorded an 18 dart pairs leg.

Pinchbeck FC B claimed an impressive 6–3 away win at Consti Club B.

Highlights included a 120 checkout for John MacKenzie, a 180 for Harvey Elderkin, and an 18 dart leg for Connor MacKenzie for the Football Club.

dam Robinson added a 16 dart leg for the Consti.

At the Green Dragon, Shayne Hubbard hit a 16 dart leg in their narrow 5–4 home win over Lincoln Arms D.

In the top of the table clash in Division B, leaders Kirton Leisure strengthened their position with a 6–3 win over Green Dragon Z.

Mark Ledger produced a superb 15 dart leg while the Dragon’s Harry Tucker replied with a 100 finish.

Lincoln Arms C continued their strong run with a 6–3 home victory against Green Dragon C.

The Dragon’s Harry Lynch signed off with a 180 in his 2–0 singles win.

In the Consti Club derby, it was the D team who came out on top with a 6–3 win over the A team.

Dean Drage impressed with a 111 checkout in his 2–0 singles success over Chris Mumby.

Consti Club Z remain firmly in the hunt for a top two finish after a 6–3 home win against the Pied Calf.

Pinchbeck FC C edged a tight contest 5–4 against Services Club A.

Wins for Stan Potter and Emma Tickner put Pinchbeck in control before Acker Kelk and Sarah O’Driscoll took the final two games for the Services to close the gap.

Josh Burton hit a 180 and JJ Ward celebrated his first singles win for the Football Club.

Results: Division A – Services Club B 6-3 Black Bull, Consti Club B 3-6 Pinchbeck FC B, Green Dragon A 5-4 Lincoln Arms D, Royal Mail Cart 4-5 Lincoln Arms A, Drayman’s Arms 1-8 Consti Club C.

Division B – Consti Club D 6-3 Consti Club A, Consti Club Z 6-3 Pied Calf, Kirton Leisure 6-3 Green Dragon Z, Lincoln Arms C 6-3 Green Dragon C, Pinchbeck FC C 5-4 Services Club A.
