DHL, Royal Mail and Evri’s Christmas delivery dates and advice

Christmas is just next week, somehow, that really snuck up on us didn’t it? Could’ve sworn summer was just a month ago but here we are.

Everyone’s favourite time of year is just around the corner, the weather being a constant reminder that the festive season is truly upon us. Last year was marred once again by covid, but this year we can celebrate a relatively ‘normal’ Christmas for the first time in years.

If you’re not lucky enough to spend the big day with all your family, never fear the postal service is there to help. Due to strikes and high demand however it is vital that you try and get all those presents sent off as early as you can, and although many of us would be happy with coal this year, the majority would appreciate a good gift or two.

Here we take a look at three of the main postal services’ advice for Christmas, and the dates for sending, bearing in mind customers are reporting parcels are taking much longer than normal to turn up:

What DHL say:

SEND EARLY TO AVOID DISAPPOINTMENT

We aim to deliver all parcels on the next working day. However, if your recipient isn’t at home at the time of the delivery, this isn’t always possible. To avoid disappointment, we recommend ensuring your parcel is collected by Thursday 22nd December. This will give your recipient enough time to re-arrange the delivery to a more convenient day or arrange to collect from a ServicePoint if they aren’t home at the time of the delivery.
