Ditz have released a reworking of Peaches’ ‘Fuck The Pain Away’ via a decomposing peach

Thanks, guys.

Ditz have released a reworking of Peaches’ ‘Fuck The Pain Away’.

As “a shrewd nod to the transient nature of all things”, the song is only available via a time-sensitive download code printed on a decomposing peach, which is currently being live-streamed online from Alcopop! HQ, presumably because the Royal Mail don’t deliver that sort of thing.

“It’s such a classic,” the band say of the Peaches hit. “Loud, proud, obnoxious and just plain funny. With ‘F*ck The Pain Away’, Peaches gave the masses some of punk’s sex positivity. You can’t tell me that pop music today would be the same without Peaches, even though it doesn’t have half of her wit. Basically we just did this cover so that Peaches would adult-adopt us.”

Check out the livestream here, and catch the band on tour throughout February – and at Truck Festival, too.
