Donna Air reveals pal Princess Eugenie has joined a Matriarch Club

TALK OF THE TOWN: Donna Air sparks Royal baby rumours by revealing her friend Princess Eugenie has joined a Matriarch Club

TV presenter Donna Air has inadvertently started some Royal baby rumours by revealing that her pal Princess Eugenie has joined a Matriarch Club.

Donna and Eugenie are among a select few women who will host a series of events this year to help raise £10 million for the Elephant Family, the charity championed by the Duchess of Cornwall’s late brother, Mark Shand.

Royal watchers are now speculating that the news means that Eugenie – who married Jack Brooksbank in October 2018 – could be set to become a real-life matriarch and announce some good news this year.

Has Prince Harry’s son Archie already dipped his toe in the waters of country pursuits?

I hear that Harry was whisked away to Iceland last year for a spot of salmon fishing by his former nanny Tiggy Legge-Bourke – and little Archie may well have been with them.

Tiggy, 54, who is rumoured to be one of Archie’s godmothers, is a keen angler herself.

I wonder if mum Meghan will allow Archie to join the rest of the Royal Family for Boxing Day shoots at Sandringham when he is older?

Archie would have been only a few months old at the time, so the idea of him on a fishing trip before he can even walk is an amusing one.

Crush of the week… Jeremy Paxman’s daughter Victoria

My bright young thing this week is Victoria Paxman, the daughter of acerbic University Challenge presenter Jeremy Paxman.

Known as ‘Vita Skeeter’ to friends – seemingly a nod to the hard-nosed Harry Potter journalist Rita Skeeter – Paxo’s daughter has just turned 21 and is making waves on the social scene.

She seems to enjoy the bohemian side of life, loving nothing more than going to festivals with her twin Jack.

And the Warwick University grad has the brains to follow her famous dad into the spotlight.
