‘Dreadful!’ Royal Mail warns customers that there will be delays today, affecting more than 50 postcodes.

In recent days and weeks, ROYAL MAIL has been experiencing major delays.

The Royal Mail has warned that even more delays are on the way, affecting people all over the country.

Royal Mail is always busy during the holiday season.

However, the pandemic is complicating the company’s job, which is already difficult due to staff shortages and other Covid-related issues.

Royal Mail has issued a warning to Britons today, stating that there will be more delays across the country.

The company stated that it uses an air, rail, and road network to transport letters and parcels between its distribution hubs, mail processing centers, and delivery offices throughout the United Kingdom.

Although its air, rail, and road networks have been running smoothly for the past 24 hours, some of the company’s mail centers had problems yesterday, January 7.

Below is a list of the four affected centers.

“Some mail posted in other parts of the UK yesterday is due for delivery today to addresses in the CH, LL, and SY postcode areas,” Royal Mail said on its website.

“Exeter Mail Centre: Some mail was delivered to addresses in the EX and TQ postcode areas today after being posted in other parts of the UK yesterday.”

“Nottingham Mail Centre: Some mail was delivered to addresses in the DE and NG postcode areas today after being posted in other parts of the UK yesterday.

“Some mail posted in other parts of the UK yesterday is due for delivery today to addresses in the CW, L, WA, and WN postcode areas,” says the Warrington Mail Centre.

On weekends, deliveries are handled slightly differently.

“Weekend delivery and collection services are expected to begin on Saturday, January 8, 2022,” according to Royal Mail.

“On Sunday, January 9, 2022, there will be no deliveries or collections (except for COVID-19 test kits from Priority Postboxes).”

“Most of our Customer Service Points are open both Saturday and Sunday for you to pick up urgent items for which we’ve left a ‘Something for you’ card – please see royalmail.comservices-near-you for their opening hours.”

“Deliveries are running normally across the majority of the country today,” the company added.

“We aim to deliver six days a week to all of the addresses for which we have mail.”

“This may be temporarily unavailable in a small number of local offices due to local issues such as Covid-related self-isolation, high levels of sick leave, resourcing, or other local factors.”

“In those cases, we’ll alternate deliveries.”
