The Royal Rumble aired live from Indianapolis, IN on Saturday night and the men’s Royal Rumble match main evented the show. Drew McIntyre entered the match at number seventeen and he lasted almost twenty seven minutes before he was eliminated by Damian Priest.
Mail Sport is now reporting that Drew McIntyre is set for a program with Damian Priest heading into WrestleMania. A source reportedly described the bout as a “nothing match.”
It’s also being reported that McIntyre is of the opinion that he deserves a more prominent feud after he had the most successful year of his career in 2024.
Following the Royal Rumble it was reported by PWInsider that Drew McIntyre had stormed out of the building after he was eliminated from the match. When Drew got to the back he was said to have been screaming about how “someone had to get their moves in” at the expense of other stories in the Royal Rumble.
Mail Sport is also reporting that Drew was left fuming due to the actions of one individual in the match. It was noted that McIntyre had to be calmed by his family and members of the locker room.
