A driver suffered serious leg injuries after a car crashed into a house in Shelton. Emergency services were called to the property on Cleveland Road at 6am on Tuesday (October 17).
They discovered that a white Vauxhall Corsa had ‘collided with’ a house. The 19-year-old driver, who was travelling alone, was taken to Royal Stoke Hospital for treatment.
No injuries were reported from inside the home as a result of the incident. Staffordshire Police is now appealing for information about the collision.

A spokesperson for the force said: “The driver and sole occupant, a 19-year-old man, sustained leg injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment. His injuries were neither life-changing nor life-threatening.
“No injuries were reported from inside the address. A Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson added: “Crews from Hanley and Newcastle attended with Staffordshire Police and West Midlands Ambulance Service. We found a white Vauxhall Corsa in collision with a house. Crews assisted in ensuring the home was left structurally safe and left the scene just before 8am.”
West Midlands Ambulance Service confirmed one ambulance, a paramedic officer and a BASICS emergency doctor attended the scene. A spokesperson added: “Upon arrival we found a man who was the driver of the car.
“He was assessed by ambulance staff and had serious injuries. He received treatment at the scene and was conveyed to Royal Stoke University Hospital for further treatment.”
