Driver in Royal Stoke after crashing into wall

A driver has needed hospital treatment after crashing into a wall. Paramedics treated the casualty after being called to Main Road, in Betley, at 6.58pm last night.

Staffordshire Police closed part of Main Road – near East Lawns – following the collision. StokeonTrentLive has approached the force for a statement regarding the crash.

West Midlands Ambulance Service sent one ambulance to the scene.

An ambulance service spokesman said: “We were called to reports that a car had crashed into a wall on Main Road at 6.58pm, one ambulance attended the scene. On arrival we discovered one patient, a man, who was treated for injuries not believed to be serious before being taken to the Royal Stoke University Hospital.”

Any witnesses to the collision should call the police on 101.
