Drivers told to turn around as blue lights surround serious crash

Motorists are being asked to back up their cars onto the A419, as emergency services surround a serious crash.

The crash involving two cars took place on the White Hart Roundabout just after 6pm on Sunday evening, February 9, and fire engines were seen rushing to the scene.

Shortly afterwards, two ambulances, and multiple police cars were seen arriving at the roundabout crash.

Traffic quickly reached standstill on the A419, as emergency services stopped traffic to treat a casualty who was still in one of the cars.

One eyewitness at the scene said: “There are two fire engines here, ambulances and lots of police.

“It looks like they’re currently treating a man.

“Police officers have said it could be another 45 minutes before a recovery vehicle can arrive.”

Motorists are now being urged to avoid the area where possible.

Wiltshire Police has been contacted for comment
