DronePrep online showcase for future investment and industry customers – sUAS News

Drone Prep, which is ‘preparing the world for a future with drones’, presented its latest offer for customers during a FREE online presentation on Thursday 18th March at 12:00pm which can be viewed on the BetaDen UK YouTube channel from Monday 22 nd March.

DronePrep’s mission is to inform the drone industry and recreational pilots where they can and cannot fly and to allow engagement between landowners and the drone community to open up opportunities for both groups. They envisage that their platform will ultimately help define where it is possible to deliver drone highways in the sky.

The presentation by Gareth Whatmore, CEO and Emily Bratt, innovation lead took place via livestream, alongside all seven of its BetaDen Cohort 3 peers, with presentations followed by a live and interactive Q&A.

Gareth Whatmore, co-founder of DronePrep, said: “We’re really looking forward to the
presentation, sharing our progress and introducing our offer to both investors and customers alike.

“The last 9 months have been something of a whirlwind, taking on new team members and working on a number of high-profile projects such as the delivery of medical supplies to remote areas for the NHS and the first ever Royal Mail drone delivery.

“BetaDen has played a huge part in that journey and preparing us for the next stage of our development and we can’t wait to share developments with our fellow cohort members, investors and current and potential customers.”

DronePrep is just one of BetaDen’s Cohort 3 businesses set to showcase their latest
developments as they come to the end of their time at the scale-up accelerator.

BetaDen – based at Worcestershire’s Malvern Hills Science Park – provides early-stage technology businesses a nine-month programme of support worth around £50,000, including 30 hours access to Worcestershire’s 5G testbed, guidance from an industry partner with established supply chain networks, a £10,000 proof of concept grant, mentoring from BetaDen’s handpicked team of commercial and technology experts and office space in Malvern Hills Science Park site.

It is unique in the technology sector, both in terms of the value of the support package it provides and the fact that cohort businesses do not need to surrender equity in their businesses to access this accelerator. As well as providing support to early-stage businesses, it also creates opportunities for established businesses to develop technology-based ideas within the accelerator, effectively supporting in-house R&D activity.
