A beaming Duchess of Cambridge couldn’t hide her excitement today as she and Prince William joined a host of celebrities to watch Roger Federer take on Novak Djokovic in an epic five set battle for the Wimbledon crown.
Federer and Djokovic are fighting tooth and nail in the final set in front of an enthralled Centre Court crowd, who are captivated by the dazzling shots and athleticism on display.
In the dramatic final set Federer had two Championship points, but Djokovic saved them both and extraordinarily, managed to break the Swiss player back, as the game rumbles on.
Djokovic made a strong start to the match take the first set but Federer struck back to win the second set, following a first set that took as long as yesterday’s women’s final.
Their third set was a nail-biter, Djokovic taking the lead after a tense tie-breaker full of gasps from the Centre Court crowd, before Federer battled back to take the fourth set 6-4.
They are playing in front of a capacity crowd packed with celebrities including Jeff Bezos and his girlfriend Lauren Sanchez, actor Benedict Cumberbatch and model Kendall Jenner.

Kate was joined by sister-in-law Meghan as well as sister Pippa yesterday as they all watched the Women’s Singles Final from the Royal Box.
Meghan was cheering on pal Serena Williams – who lost to Romanian Simona Halep – and opted for a crisp white shirt teamed with a pleated £350 Boss midi skirt, with an abstract blue and black pattern.
It was the second time in a week that the duchess attended to see her friend play, although her last visit caused controversy after bodyguards told fans not to take pictures of her, and she flouted rules by wearing jeans in a members’ only area.
The controversy came just days after Meghan and Harry faced a public backlash for insisting on keeping their son Archie’s christening completely private, and refusing to reveal the names of his godparents.
