HARD-WORKING posties were presented with healthy snacks this week in appreciation of their efforts during the coronavirus pandemic.
Members of Fife’s Ahmadiyya Muslim Community popped in to thank Royal Mail workers and drop off the gifts on Friday.
Dr Abdul Hayee, vice-president of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Edinburgh and Fife, said their thoughtful gesture came after local bin crews, the fire service, NHS staff and workers at COVID testing centres had also been thanked, as the Press reported last week.
“It was to appreciate the hard work they are doing during the current pandemic,” he added.
The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community (AMC) is an internationally-recognised movement within Islam.
Its followers are committed to promoting friendship, goodwill and righteousness, not only among themselves but also among other nations and communities.
The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in Edinburgh and Fife have also been making food donations to the homeless, foodbanks and sending small gestures of thanks to frontline workers across all sectors.
