E-filers reduce last-minute rush at Post Office

According to the Internal Revenue Service, 101 million e-filed federal tax returns were received by Monday morning — an 8.8 percent increase from last year. It was the first time that more than 100 million had filed electronically in any given year since the e-file program went national in 1990, the IRS said.
