With less than 10 months to go before the next local elections in Ealing on 7 May 2026, the Ealing Liberal Democrats have reselected their two current Ealing Common councillors and introduced a new candidate to contest the ward.
Councillors Jon Ball and Connie Hersch – who have served Ealing Common for 23 years and 3 years respectively – are joined by Lakhbir Singh.
Councillor Hersch said: “Liberal Democrats in Ealing Common work for a safer and cleaner neighbourhood. We listen to residents in their neighbourhood meetings, our monthly surgery, or when they call us. From installing a new crossing to the Common to working with the police, we are fighting for residents who feel the Labour-run Ealing Council is letting them down.”
Mr Singh, 71, is a retired Royal Mail manager who now works part-time doing a school run for children with special needs. He previously stood as a Liberal Democrat candidate for Hanwell Broadway at the 2022 local elections.
Commenting on his selection, Mr Singh said: “Liberal Democrats are the official opposition. I want to see a cleaner, safer and more peaceful Ealing.”
