Since mid-September, people in Earby say they have not been visited by Royal Mail daily, and occasionally receive bundles of four-week-old post instead.
Royal Mail has said it has faced “resourcing challenges” in the area and hopes to have new postal workers in place in the coming weeks.
Kevin Foster has been living in the town for the past 11 years, and had never had a problem with the mail service before.
However, he said he has not seen his usual postman for weeks and has not received two bank cards sent to him.
He said: “It has been going on with me for about two or three weeks.
“I was due a bank card, so I rang the bank up and they sent it out on September 20, so they sent another, and I haven’t received either.
“The only post I have received in the last three weeks is my British Gas bill, and that was posted to someone else.
“I am slightly worried that I have had this gas bill, and now I have two bank cards floating around in the system somewhere.”
Having spoken to people in the town, Kevin found out someone did not receive their bowel cancer testing kit, and another has been expecting letters from the hospital, but none have arrived as yet.
Some residents have been to the Royal Mail sorting office in Barnoldswick, and said they were told there has been an issue.

However, a large amount of the post was still not received.
Kevin added: “A lot of older people rely on letters and the post.
“I know a neighbour was expecting a letter from the hospital. He went up to the sorting office at Barlick, and they couldn’t find it.
“He never got his important letter, and their post still hasn’t arrived.”
Royal Mail have said that there have been resource challenges at the Barnoldswick Delivery Office and staff from neighbouring offices are currently assisting with deliveries.
A Royal Mail spokesperson said: “Recent resourcing challenges at Barnoldswick Delivery Office have had an impact on deliveries in the local area. Staff from neighbouring offices are assisting with deliveries and the office is clear of mail as of Tuesday, October 7.
“We expect that the arrival of new posties in the coming weeks will restore our service to its usual high standards.”
