eBay has a Hunch, buys startup for recommendation technology, NYC foothold

eBay has agreed to purchase New York startup Hunch, a company that focuses on deducing consumers’ tastes in order to recommend likely purchases and connect them with like-minded people. The purchase price was not disclosed.
