eBay Previews Royal Mail Price Adjustments Coming in April on Letters and Parcels

Royal Mail announced new prices for letters and parcels that are going into effect on 4 April, headlined with 1st Class Stamps going up by 10p to 95p.

But this price adjustment is also bringing new rates to Royal Mail parcel services which eBay sellers should review this week to ensure they will be not be surprised when printing labels next Monday for listings that offered free or fixed price shipping.

To prepare UK eBay sellers that use its eBay Labels platform to print labels for orders, the company outlined the adjustments in a chart.

“As customer needs change and we see a greater shift from letters to parcels, it is vital that the Universal Service adapts to stay relevant and sustainable. These prices changes are necessary to ensure we can continue to maintain and invest in the one-price-goes-anywhere Universal Service for future generations.”

Nick Landon, Chief Commercial Officer, Royal Mail.

While eBay’s chart only summarizes what sellers should expect next week, here is a link to Royal Mail’s Price Guide for domestic and international parcel services that will become effective on 4 April.

eBay Labels

eBay Labels is part of Royal Mail’s marketplace and online pricing scheme which offers eBay users a discount over the postal service’s retail rates (personal customers pricing).

The program enables eBay sellers to quickly and easily purchase domestic and international shipping labels for Royal Mail and Parcelforce.

In addition, eBay has a partnership with Packlink to offer UK sellers competitive rates on InPost, Evri, UPS, DPD and DHL, all powered from within the eBay marketplace platform.
