EBay removes offers of Obama inauguration tickets (Los Angeles Times)

Officials were concerned that some offers could be scams. Tickets to the presidential swearing-in ceremony are supposed to be free and won’t be distributed until a few days before the event. Caving to pressure from the federal inaugural committee, EBay Inc. on Thursday removed tickets to the Jan. 20 swearing-in ceremony of President-elect Barack Obama from its websites.
