eBay wants third-party developers to migrate to its Finding API to take advantage of its next generation search technology. eBay’s Developer Program launched the Finding API, which includes the latest Best Match and Fitment algorithms, in July 2009. eBay told developers the API is designed to provide greater flexibility, better performance and scalability.
