EDEN CONFIDENTIAL: Jeweller criticises Meghan for once wearing diamonds grown in a lab while on a royal jaunt, saying ‘it’s misleading’

The Duchess of Sussex once wore diamonds grown in a lab on a royal jaunt, but jeweller Eddie LeVian is not impressed.

‘I’m concerned people think it’s the same as a diamond,’ he tells me at the Tower of London, where his brand Le Vian hosted a show. ‘It’s misleading.’

Her interview with Prince Andrew helped end his career as a working royal, but Emily Maitlis finds it hard to impress her investment banker husband, Mark Gwynne.

Last year Maitlis, 52, left the BBC to pursue a career as a podcaster. However, she wails: ‘Everyone has a different approach to podcast listening. My husband only wants history, and never listens to me.’

‘And then a few days later, they’re like, ‘We’ve got this big problem. There’s a prop show-and-tell. Amazon producers are coming over. The poem is missing.’

‘They were, like, ‘Did you by any chance take the poem home with you? Could you check?’ I was, like, ‘Well, I mean…You know… I’ll go through my things.’ Anyway, the poem materialised.’

With his chiselled features and strapping physique, conductor Lorenzo Viotti has become as well known for his looks as his skills with a baton.

The Swiss classical music star, 33, took things too far, however, with this holiday snap he posted on social media. Viotti, maestro of the Dutch National Opera, deleted the post and apologised. ‘I understand people have different values and beliefs, so I decided to remove the post,’ he says.

‘Sometimes it’s better to take a step back. We live and we learn and I will never stop learning.’
