Edinburgh Airport II by Pyreegue Dev Co is Now Available

After a hugely lengthy development period, Pyreegue Dev Co has released its long-awaited Edinburgh Airport v2 for Microsoft Flight Simulator.

Edinburgh International Airport is the busiest airport in Scotland and the sixth busiest in the United Kingdom. It hosts numerous airlines, including British Airways, Delta Airlines, easyJet, Emirates, JetBlue, Jet2.com, Loganair, Ryanair and United Airlines offering a wide range of domestic and international flights.

The new version comes complete with bespoke terrain elevation, the latest satellite imagery and custom ground polygons with accurate weathering and markings that bring the airport to life. There is also completely custom and highly accurate interior modelling, extensive use of PBR texturing, custom ground service equipment, and much more.

If you’re looking for details, you will find it in all areas of the airport, including outside the airport. Areas including the Moxy hotel, Royal Mail cargo facilities, Edinburgh Convention Center, and various industrial areas are all fully modelled in this scenery product from Pyreegue. The ATC tower will also light up to celebrate specific dates and holidays, giving it a really dynamic effect.

Pyreegue Dev Co has used recent LiDAR scans to ensure that the whole airport is as accurate as possible. This also includes the Archimedes Screw which is fully recreated and animated. There is also a custom GSX profile included, that was created by William Hinshaw.

If you want to see comparisons between the original version and this new one, you can do so via the Contrail website.
